AUDIT SERVICE AGREEMENT PROGRAM - ASAP

Beginning January 1, 1998

If you prefer "audit insurance", add another $75.00. Having "audit insurance" doesn't pay your tax liability, interest, or penalties. But it does cover the cost of our firm representing you before the Internal Revenue Service. If your return is audited and you have paid the AUDIT SERVICE AGREEMENT FEE, Villa Rose Associates, Ltd. will  handle your case before the IRS at no additional charge. If you elect not to take the AUDIT SERVICE AGREEMENT PROGRAM, our representation is billed at our normal hourly rates.

The $75.00 per year fee is for individual (Form 1040) income tax returns. Business and or Entity tax returns can have AUDIT SERVICE AGREEMENTS for $250. per year.

The Audit Service Agreement Program is NOT a guarantee that the Internal Revenue will not audit your tax return.  It is merely a pre-paid annual program to cover the professional costs of representation. The program is for the current year valid for 3 years.  To be eligible to purchase the Audit Service Agreement, the   current year tax return must be prepared by Villa Rose Associates, Ltd. and The ASAP program fee must be paid within 14 days of the original preparation of the tax return.  ASAP is not available for any tax return prepared before January 1, 1998. The ASAP is subject to Villa Rose approval. The ASAP program covers any AUDIT within a 50 mile radius of the Empire State Building. 

Think of our program as you would an extended warranty for an appliance.  The program merely guarantees our service to represent you, should it become necessary to do so.

The Internal Revenue audits about 3 taxpayers out of every 1,000.  They do audit higher income taxpayers, self employed individuals, and owners of rental property more often than other taxpayers. Non-New York, or Non-New Jersey clients, if audits should be able to request a change of venue from the Internal Revenue to the Metro New York City area.  While requests are generally approved, they are not always approved.

The ASAP program may be discontinued for new tax returns at any time.
