Tax Law allows for
certain expenses to be taken as direct credits against your income tax.
Unlike
deductions or adjustments, these credits can reduce one dollar of tax
for every dollar of credit. Some of these credits apply only to unusual
situations while others, such as the Individual Retirement Accounts,
apply to most taxpayers.
If you are not sure
whether you qualify for the credit, give us the information so we can
make the determination for you.
Note that the new Child Tax Credit
is not listed here. We will determine eligibility for that credit based
on information you provide about your dependent children.
Review these Tax
Credit pages if you think you qualify:
Note: Many credits
have income limitations.
